Fortis gets construction permit for PV/BESS
Turkish renewables developer Fortis Energy has secured an environmental permit for the 180MW solar and 36MWh battery storage scheme in Sremska Mitrovica, northwest Serbia.
UCK Holding-backed Fortis bought the scheme in 2024 from a local developer. The Turkish company aims to achieve 2GW of renewable energy projects in the Balkans by 2030 and has so far commissioned the 80MW Oslomej solar project in North Macedonia.
