ContourGlobal enters BESS race
KKR-backed ContourGlobal has acquired a 1.6GW/9.5GWh battery energy storage system portfolio in Italy from a pool of developers and it might look into acquiring more throughout the summer.
The names of the sellers and the purchase price were not disclosed. The acquisition comes as developers across Italy get ready for bidding in Italy's MACSE tender for tolling agreements on standalone BESS projects, due to launch in the second half of September.
