Italian holding company Innovo, active in the renewables space in Italy and the UK via Innovo Renewables, has launched an e-charging business called T-Carica. The company is headquartered in Milan and led by Rodolfo Bigolin, founder of Innovo Group. T-Carica is about to commission its first station in Padua and aims to install 1,000 stations by the end of Q2 2026.
The company has signed a first agreement with retailer DG, which owns 220 tech stores across Italy.
"We are closing a first round of financing to support the first 30–40 charging stations already contracted with DG Group, and others that we are planning, especially in Veneto. At the end of the year we will launch a second raise to add €15m–€30m, which will be needed for the longer-term installation plan," Bigolin said.
The targeted areas and customers include big retail and leisure areas, to be followed by publicly administered areas. China's Autel is supplying the charging stations, which will include quick, fast and ultra-fast charging up to 350kW, all of them scalable. Tariffs will be decided based on the client and have not yet been determined, Bigolin said. His aim is for Innovo, which includes T-Carica, to be listed on the Milan stock exchange in the next three years.
