The first GPU financings in the data centre sector are emerging, upping the risk ante in the opinion of many commentators. Equipment financing has always been a different animal to the underlying infrastructure asset – take hospital equipment deals and PPP hospitals or even car finance and toll roads. But in the data centre space, the financing structures could be merging into one.
