Sieuwert de Zwaan
Head of Energy Australia, ING
Sieuwert serves as the head of Energy Australia at ING. With more than 14 years banking and financing experience in the energy sector, Sieuwert has a passion for energy markets and supporting clients in their transition to a low carbon economy.

Since joining ING Wholesale Banking in 2007, Sieuwert has held various roles within the Energy Sector team and has been responsible for the originating, structuring, and executing of a large number of power and renewables financings in multiple jurisdictions, particularly in the UK and Australia.


Jeremy Hasnip
Head of Energy Transition and Head of Power & Renewables, SMBC
Jeremy has over 25 years’ experience in the power and banking sectors. He has been with SMBC for 10 years and is responsible for driving the bank’s business in the renewable energy, energy storage and emerging new clean technology sectors in Australia.

He has extensive experience in energy sector M&A, green field project development, corporate & project finance, and in leading financial advisory transactions in the power and natural resources sectors.

He has worked on many completed transactions including renewable energy projects totalling more than 7,000MW.

Paul Curnow
Partner, Ashurst
Paul Curnow, partner in Ashurst’s Energy & Resources practice and global co-head of Energy, is recognised as one of Australia’s leading renewable energy lawyers and, globally, as a long-standing market leader in climate change and sustainable finance. He has extensive experience in all aspects of clean energy markets, including in project development, innovative offtake arrangements, energy regulation and financing.

Andrew Pickering
Chairman, Infrastructure Capital Group
Andrew has a career of over 31 years as a lawyer and project developer in the energy industry in Australia & Asia.

Since joining ICG in 2006, he has been responsible for many of the generation projects within EIT and is a senior spokesman in the Australian energy industry. Andrew has acted on many of Australia’s major energy privatisation projects and has extensive knowledge of the gas and electricity industries throughout Australia. He became Chairman of ICG in October 2014.

Adam Pegg
Country Manager, Lightsource bp Australia
Adam Pegg is Country Manager, Lightsource bp Australia. He joined Lightsource bp in 2018 and is responsible for the company’s renewable energy projects and investments in Australia. He has over 20 years’ experience working across renewable energy, power generation, gas infrastructure, energy retailing, corporate and project finance.

Prior to joining Lightsource bp, Adam was Head of Business Development – Renewables, at APA group, where he established APA’s wind and solar portfolio.

Steve Symons
Chief Financial Officer, Tilt Renewables
Steve is a highly experienced finance professional with over 20 years’ experience within the energy sector in several senior finance and executive roles.

He joined the Tilt Renewables team as the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary in October 2016. Prior to joining Tilt Renewables, Steve held senior finance and management roles at Palisade Investment Partners, Epic Energy, Roaring 40s and TRUenergy (now EnergyAustralia). Steve was also the Managing Director of Roaring 40s for two years.

Alexandra Dockreay
Project Finance International
Alexandra is a journalist and editor with over eight years’ experience reporting on global energy, infrastructure and natural resources finance markets.

Based in Australia, she joined Project Finance International (PFI) in 2020 to lead the publication’s coverage in the Pacific region and India.

Alexandra has reported on the energy and infrastructure finance sectors in Asia Pacific for three years based in Sydney, after six years covering Europe and North America from London.
