Hirofumi Taba
Partner, Linklaters Tokyo
Hirofumi is a Japanese qualified lawyer specialising in cross border joint law project finance transactions, advising equity investors, export credit agencies and commercial banks. He has a wealth of experience advising on renewable projects in Japan and internationally.

Hirofumi is chairing an offshore wind working group, operating within the remit of the Japan Association of Asset Management, and was recently ranked in the top 100 Legal Power List 2020 by A Word about Wind.

Sajal Kishore
Senior Director, Head of APAC, Infrastructure and Project Finance, Fitch Ratings
Sajal Kishore is the Head of Asia-Pacific Infrastructure and Project Finance Ratings and a Senior Director at Fitch Ratings, based in Singapore.

Sajal’s team is responsible for credit ratings for infrastructure issuers and transactions in the Asia-Pacific region, including owners of airports, toll roads, ports, rail infrastructure, power plants, renewable energy projects, oil and gas infrastructure facilities, or Public Private Partnership. Sajal joined Fitch in Sydney in 2007.

Daniel Mallo
Managing Director – Head of Natural Resources & Infrastructure, Asia Pacific, Societe Generale
Daniel is responsible for Société Générale’s Natural Resources & Infrastructure practice in Asia Pacific.

The team’s activities include conventional and renewable power, oil & gas, LNG, base and precious metals, transportation and social infrastructure. He has over 18 years of experience in structured finance and has focused on the Energy and Natural Resources sectors for the past 15 years and has been involved in several important transactions in the renewable energy sector across the region.

Takehisa Manabe
Joint General Manager of Global Structured Finance Tokyo, SMBC
Takehisa is joint general manager in Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp’s (SMBC) structured finance department in Tokyo, responsible for transaction globally, advising Japanese clients on various products such as equity investments to debt arrangement, in sectors from oil & gas, mining, and power to renewables.

He has over 15 years experience in the Asia Pacific region, gained in Singapore and Tokyo.

Ray McLaughlin
Head of Capital Markets, Mainstream Renewable Power
Ray is Head of Capital Markets at Mainstream Renewable Power’s Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore, responsible for managing strategic relationships with institutional debt and equity providers to fund Mainstream’s global development portfolio of wind and solar projects.

He has over 18 years in the asset management and banking sectors, and has originated and structured multiple investments into the renewable energy industry. Ray holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast.

Soh Okubo
Manager, Offshore Energy & Renewable Offshore Wind, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd.
Soh Okuobo is a deputy manager at Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, based in Tokyo. He has been with the company for over 11 years, joining in July 2009.

He attended the International Christian University, in Tokyo.

Shinichi Yasuda

Shinichi Yasuda
Senior Vice President, Structured Finance Department; and Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance Department, Division5, Development Bank of Japan, Inc.
Shinichi Yasuda serves for two departments of the Development Bank of Japan; Structured Finance and Corporate Finance, with particular responsibility for renewable energy sector projects in overseas countries as well as in Japan. He has a long and powerful career in project finance and equity investment for energy infrastructure projects.

He holds MSc (Metals and Energy Finance) degree from Imperial College London and BA (Economics, Monetary policies) degree from Kyoto University.

Rod Morrison
Editor, Project Finance International
Rod joined Project Finance International (PFI) in 1993 and is a leading industry expert on the sector.
