Bitola 3 solar PF to market
North Macedonia's public utility ESM is in early talks with the EBRD and KfW for an €87m debt financing package to back development of the 134MW Bitola 3 solar project.
KfW is expected to provide a €50m tranche and the EBRD the remaining €37m, with commercial close expected in November. The project is due to be built on the site of the former Bitola coal mine. ESM provides approximately 90% of the country's electricity production.
