Wpd gains 740MW connection

The permits allow for up to 80 turbines at Broboberget and 35 at Lannaberget. The hilly sites offer good wind conditions, wpd said, and are located far away from settlements in areas mostly used for forestry. Wpd will look to sign power purchase agreements for the plants with Swedish industry or international corporates. The first phase of the grid connection is scheduled to be commissioned in 2027.
