ACE plans 141MW solar/battery
ACE Power and Osaka Gas Energy Australia are seeking federal approval under the Environment Protection & Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act for the 141MW Forbes Solar Farm in central New South Wales (NSW).

The project is located around 378km to the west of Sydney, and will come equipped with a four hour 480MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). According to project documents the solar facility will be "operational 24/7."
The Forbes Solar Farm has a capital investment value of over A$30m (US$26m) and has been categorised as a NSW State Significant Development (SSD). ACE is an Australian renewable energy developer backed by shareholder and partner Pelion Green Future. Osaka Gas Energy Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Osaka Gas that was founded in 2009. In April ACE's 900MW/3.6GWh Nebo BESS and its 500MW/2GWh Raglan BESS - both located in Queensland, obtained EPBC approvals.
