Hyundai Engineering has bought the 260MW Hillsboro solar project near Dallas from fellow South Korean company OCI Energy.
Hyundai Engineering is now talking to local contractors about helping it build the project. It aims to have the plant online in the first half of 2027. Hyundai Engineering and OCI Energy have signed an MoU to collaborate further on US renewable projects. In April, Hyundai Engineeering signed an MoU with Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corp to develop renewable schemes in Europe and South America.
