Gopal Agarwal
SBI Capital Markets
Gopal Agarwal, Senior Vice President, Infrastructure Group, SBI Capital Markets, has over 20 years of experience in project and corporate finance and banking particularly in Infrastructure with focus on Power and transportation sectors. At SBICAP, he heads a large team of professionals involved in structuring and evaluating various infrastructure and core sector projects and arranging financing for these projects, as also structuring and concluding M&A & PE deals.

Emmanuel Arnould
SMBC Nikko
Emmanuel Arnould joined SMBC Nikko based in London in May 2014. His focus is on originating, structuring and executing project bonds transactions in the EMEA and APAC regions. Prior to joining SMBC Nikko, he spent 10 years, from 2004, in New York with Credit Agricole Securities’ DCM Securitization team. His primary focus was on originating, structuring, and executing of project/energy related financings in the Capital Markets. He was also involved in ECA (Ex-Im, ECGD) backed capital market offerings.

Terry Fanous
Moody’s
Terry Fanous has over 25 years of experience in credit ratings and bank credit risk management. As a Managing Director, based in Singapore, he now leads Moody’s project and infrastructure finance group in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) leading ratings teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia, which are responsible for Moody’s extensive coverage across the infrastructure sector, including transport infrastructure, regulated utilities, power and social infrastructure. He was previously responsible for Moody’s coverage of the oil and gas as well as mining sectors in Asia Pacific.

Kiyoshi Nishimura
Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility
Kiyoshi Nishimura is CEO of the Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility (CGIF) and has started up this new multilateral guarantee facility which was establshied in November 2010 by ASEAN+3 countries and ADB to support development of local currency bond markets in the region. He has extensive experience in development banking and international finance and held senior positions at various multilateral/bilateral institutions such as EBRD and JBIC/JEXIM before joining CGIF. CGIF is a key component of the Asian Bond Markets Initiative (ABMI) of the ASEAN+3 cooperation.

Martijn Hoogerwerf
ADM Capital
Martijn Hoogerwerp is responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing debt transactions on behalf of the Tropical Landscapes Finance Facility and other funds under management by ADM Capital. Based in Hong Kong for 10+ years, he is focused on Renewable Energy, Cleantech and Impact Investment opportunities in Asia and beyond. Prior roles include leading the Renewable Energy advisory team at Kempen & Co, Chief Strategy Officer at China Europe Bio-Energy Consortium and various Structured Finance roles at Fortis.

Seohan Soo
AmInvestment Bank
Seohan Soo has been leading the Capital Markets Group at AmInvestment Bank since 2003. He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, specialising in structuring, underwriting and distribution of capital markets products including structured finance, loan syndication and derivatives. He is responsible for providing innovative and customised financing solutions to corporate clients and government-related entities; he has technical expertise in domestic and regional capital markets and asset and liability management for corporates and banks.

Frédéric Thomas
ADB
Frédéric Thomas was the first member of the PPP Advisory Services Team of the ADB which was established in January 2010. For the last two and a half years, he has been leading ADB’s Private Sector efforts in reviving ‎the project bond market in Asia through the use of credit enhancements. Recently he led the team that closed the first climate certified in Asia and the first for a single project in any Emerging Markets for Aboitiz’s Tiwi-MakBan geothermal power plants in the Philippines. He has over 20 year experience in structuring/executing financings across transportation, social infrastructure, and utilities sectors.

Luca Tonello
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation
Luca Tonello is Deputy General Manager and Head of Project Finance for Asia under the Investment Banking Department of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). He has more than sixteen years of experience in the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. He currently heads the project and export finance team of SMBC in Asia. He was previously Head of Oil & Gas between 2013 and 2015. He has been based in Asia for the last eight years and worked in both Singapore and Tokyo. Before moving to Asia in 2008, he was a Director in the Natural Resources team of RBS.

Lee Ka Sing
Maybank
Ka Sing heads up Maybank Kim Eng Singapore’s debt capital markets and regional project finance covering conventional and Islamic project & structured finance, asset/vessel financing, and fixed income businesses across ASEAN. He has more than 20 years of banking experience including financial advisory & cross-border tax structuring, fund-raising and asset mangement. He was involved in numerous infrastructure transactions in the region acting as lead arranger, lender, advisor, co-developer and/or principal investor.
