Ohio passes bill for turnpike lease
Legislation that will enable Ohio governor John Kasich to move forward with plans to lease the turnpike has passed as part of a budget House Bill 153. The legislation puts the state Director of Budget and Management in charge of the procurement process through which a private concessionaire will take over control of the Turnpike from the Ohio Turnpike Commission.The maximum term of a toll concession will be 75 years.
