Duncan Allison, HSBC

Duncan Allison is a senior director with 24 years experience of project finance, the last 10 years working in the GCC. He is currently responsible for overseeing the government and state sector project finance power and utilities advisory franchise within the GCC for HSBC.

Harold Fairfull, Consilium

Harold Fairfull has been active in utilities finance for over 20 years. He started his career with Kleinwort Benson. After a number of bank positions, he founded the independent advisory house of Consilium in 2004 and the company has since advised on 7 closed power and water transactions.

Sachin Karia, Allen & Overy

Sachin is a partner in Allen & Overy’s projects, energy & infrastructure group and has been based in the Dubai office for over five years. He is an energy and infrastructure sector specialist with a particular focus on the Middle East and North Africa region.

Pascal Martese, Acwapower

Pascal Martese has spent his entire career in the gas and power industry with well known names like Total Gas & Power, Electrabel, GDF Suez Energy International and, for the past two years, with ACWA Power. He is currently co-head of the acquisitions and project finance epartment at ACWA Power.

After a career of 6 years as audit manager within the financial services department of PwC, Gijs joined GDF-Suez in 2006. Gijs currently holds the position of VP Acquisitions, Investments and Financial advisory within GDF Suez Energy Middle East and North Africa and is based in Dubai.

Charlie Seymour, ADWEA

Charlie Seymour is Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority’s internal financial advisor, responsible for all finance matters in relating to ADWEA’s privatisation programme, involving the tendering, award, negotiation and financing of independent water, power and waste water projects.

Ravi Suri, Standard Chartered

Ravi Suri is regional head of project & export finance, Middle East North Africa and South Asia, Dubai, at Standard Chartered Bank. Ravi set up SCB’s regional project finance business based out of Dubai in 2002, and currently leads a team of 45 professionals covering Europe, Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

David Wadham, Ashurst

David Wadham is a partner in Ashurst’s energy, transport and infrastructure practice who specialises in the power and water sector. Based in Abu Dhabi, David advises both sponsors and funders in relation to the development and financing and acquisition of IWPPs across the MENA region.
